Natal Tropical
"Bom dia Felipe.
I'm sorry to write you in englisch but I learned my portugese on the street, I can speak and read it but wriring is to difficult for me yet.
I'm a dutchman who fell in love with a brasileira. So I try to spent as much time in Brasil as I can.
I think it's more than 10 years ago that I saw the first puma in my life. It was a wreck on the side of the street and I asked my girlfriend what kind of car it was. "Some kind of volkswagen"she said. I disagreed because volkswagen never made a little sportscar like that.
"Well I don't know anything about cars"she said.
About 2 years ago I saw a puma alive in the street.
I imediately fell in love with it and started to find out what car it really was. That's where the internet is for. So your blog came along also and helped me a lot to know more about puma's.
Reading about it and seeing some more driving around I decided that I wanted one in Holland.
Last year I went looking for one to buy and sent it to Holland.
This year in May i bought this 1980 GTE in Seropedica RJ. It was allready quiet well restored.
Then came the hard part, convincing the brazilian customs that YES it is possible to export a puma to Holland.
I finally won of the burocrats and the puma is here now.
It passed the "vistoria"and has dutch documents and licenseplates.
As you can see on the photos I'm waiting for the snow to disappear to drive my little puma on asfalto liso
So this was the story of this puma which left Brasil but will be loved and taking care of overhere.
Best wishes, merry christmas and a happy newyear.

Martin Ringoot
